announces Make a Change: Open Contest 2012, a video and photo contest made
possible by a donation from European Commission Vice-President Neelie Kroes. The
contest is individuals above the age of 16 who live in European Union countries
or in Albania, Macedonia or Turkey.

RomaReact.org is
looking for agents of change in Roma communities – mainly young people from Roma
communities who become successful in the non-Roma world, either through
education or business entrepreneurship. RomaReact is an interactive website
building a global online community seeking social change and justice.
You are welcome to join the RomaReact by taking part in its first contest,
which is being held thanks to a donation from Neelie Kroes, Vice-President of
the European Commission in charge of the EU’s Digital Agenda.
Make a Change: Open Contest 2012 is open to all who want to share Roma
realities and to challenge stereotypes and prejudices that Roma face today.
RomaReact wants to support you in your effort to create change in the lives of
individuals, groups or the entire community.
The contest has two categories:
- short video and written description/story
- photography and written description/story in writing
The first-place winners in both contest categories will each receive 500
Euro. Second place winners will receive 250 Euro each and third place winners 100
Euro each.
