European Roma Institute for Arts and Culture offering year-long paid internship in Berlin, Germany

The European Roma Institute for Arts and Culture (ERIAC) and Central European University’s Romani Studies Program have announced a selection procedure for a paid professional internship to be implemented as part of their Roma in European Societies program (RES). ERIAC wants to fill the two working positions for one year.

Interns will work at ERIAC headquarters in Berlin, Germany under the supervision of executive management. The applicants chosen will be provided a grant covering their living expenses in Berlin and the cost of their travel to and from the German capital.

The internship is designed for Master’s degree holders in Romani Studies, either from CEU’s program or the Romani Studies programs at other universities. Both CEU and ERIAC require applicants to speak English, be interested in Romani arts and culture, and to have good communications skills.

Interested candidates can apply online by 30 June. The internship begins on 1 September 2019.

ERIAC is an international creative center supporting the exchange of creative ideas across borders, between areas of cultural endeavor, and among various ways of perceiving Romani identity. The institute was created to bring the public together, to educate people, and to raise awareness about Romani people, thereby supporting dialogue and creating mutual respect and understanding.
