VIDEO: Rapper Bobby Blaze has written a song against bullying, part of the soundtrack to the Czech film Brácha, based on real events
On Sunday, 19 January, a new video called “Nikdo (Stop šikaně)” [Nobody (Stop Bullying)] was premiered online. It is the theme song for the new Czech film called Brácha [Brother] and was performed by the famous rapper Bobby Blaze.
The film tells the tragic story of a real event, the suicide of a 14-year-old boy who was the victim of bullying. Director Filip Špinka hopes the film and the song will aid with opening a discussion about bullying, its consequences, and the necessity of addressing such cases in time.
The project has been supported by the Romodrom organization. “The song tells a strong story and conveys a message I want to give my listeners. That’s this: Bullying somebody does not make you a badass and is not the way to win in life. Bullying is wrong,” Bobby Blaze told news server Romea.cz.

Director Filip Špinka said the film and the song serve not just as a reminder of what happened, but also as an emphatic warning. “The song and the film serve as a reminder and above all as a call for this to never happen again, warning of the enormous repercussions that bullying can have and how important it is to notice those experiencing it. Any loss is too great,” he said.
Brácha [Brother] is inspired by a real event from the year 2018, when a 14-year-old boy decided to end his own life because he was being bullied. “This project is close to my heart, and that’s why I’ve decided not just to direct it, but also to dedicate maximum care to it and to approach it personally. I believe that through this story we can open up an important debate and reach viewers on a deeper emotional level,” Špinka revealed to Romea.cz.
The director also explained that this story impacted him on a personal level because it happened near where he lives. “This story took place not far from my home. It’s something that touched me deeply, not just as a creative, but also as a person. The closeness and the personal connection to the tragedy makes the whole situation even more painful, but at the same time it gives me a strong motivation to speak about it,” he says.
Špinka stressed that he wants to open up an important discussion about bullying and its consequences through the film. “This story is a call to each of us to look at yourself, at those around you, how can we contribute to making sure such tragedies never repeat themselves?! I feel it’s impossible to ignore this, and I believe this film can bring about a change,” the director said.
The Romodrom organization is also collaborating on the film Brácha [Brother] and supports the project. “Romodrom, in particular Milan Šenki and Nikola Taragoš, have given their ‘auspices’ to the film, the patron of the project is the actor Radim Fiala,“ Špinka said.
The director thanked everybody who has contributed to the project. “This collaboration really means a lot to me, because it is exactly such support that shows how important our joint efforts are when it comes to addressing such painful, essential subjects as the ones to which our film is dedicated. All the people and the organizations which are part of this film deserve my enormous thanks for their trust and aid,” the director said.
The video clip of the theme song “Nikdo (stop šikaně)” [Nobody (Stop Bullying)] has already been viewed on YouTube.cz more than 140,000 times and made it to number one on the Trends chart. The film itself will have its pre-premier on 25 March 2025.
