Yesterday about 10 neo-Nazis attempted to assault those participating in the carnival parade of LGBT people in the Czech capital, Prague Pride, and ahead of the parade several clerical fascists also protested against it at the statue of St Václav. The parade was held up for several minutes at Republic Square (náměstí Republiky), where 10 neo-Nazis from the “National Regeneration” (Národní obroda – NO) and the “Workers’ Youth” (Dělnická mládež – DM) groups attempted to attack marchers.

Police officers kept the would-be assailants away from the parade. Among the most aggressive neo-Nazis present was, for example, Pavel Matějný of NO, who regularly attends neo-Nazi events.

Another protester was Romana Frieselová, who previously gave the Nazi salute at an anti-Romani demonstration in Dubí, Czech Republic. Another neo-Nazi was wearing a t-shirt depicting the Ku Klux Klan.
