Yesterday in Brno, Czech Republic, the Real Fight Arena (RFA) saw Václav Sivák score the 20th win of his professional career. His duel with elite French fighter Alexis Laugeois was one of the biggest attractions.

As specialist websites are reporting, the match offered the best K-1 spectacle in the weight class up to 67 kilograms. Sivák demonstrated his fight tactics, attacking patiently and avoiding blows from his opponent.

At the close of the first round, though, Sivak began to absolutely dominate. After the judges’ unanimous decision, he won the 20th victory of his career on points.

“Again, I’m disappointed. I wasn’t myself,” the kickboxer said after the match.

“If you could have seen me during sparring practice, it was 50 % better. I haven’t fought for seven months, which is probably why,” Sivak speculated.

“F**ck, in my next match I want to see that young Bad Boy I was at 16. That’s it,” the fighter said.

Recently there has been frequent talk of Sivák moving into mixed martial arts (MMA). He responded to that during the post-match interview.

“Everybody wants to see me in MMA. If somebody were to give me a million crowns right now, then tomorrow I would have no problem entering MMA and dying in the ring with my rival,” the kickboxing champion said.

“Not that I would be the only one to die, my rival and I would both die. Stop asking me about MMA,” Sivák told the interviewer.

“I believe this was a beautiful match. You saw the moves using arms, legs, knees,” he said of his win.

“This was still a battle. It wasn’t me grabbing somebody and rolling around on the ground with him,” the kickboxer said.

In 2019, Sivák became the WAKO world champion at the age of 20 and the world’s number one amateur kickboxer; at the close of 2020 he then competed in classic boxing and won the title of champion of the Czech Republic. In November 2021 he then won the highly-valued WAKO Pro title in his weight category, defeating Fouad Djebari on points in Liberec.
