Basic goals of ROMEA:

• Support battle against racism, developing of respect to human rights, help to development of democracy and tolerance in society.
• Publishing of independent magazines, newspapers even one-time publications about Romani and their propagation to Romani and other population in Czech Republic
• Translating of literature about Romani and other minorities
• Supporting of educating Romani including intermediation of scholarships to talented Romani pupils and students, deepening professional knowledge of young Romani in media and other spheres
• Supporting of Romani sport, culture and leisure time activities, in particular Romani youth
• Supporting of developing Romani communities, organizing courses and trainings, holding exhibitions of Romani artists, propagation of Romani culture in all spheres
• Supporting of humanitarian and charity activities among Romani
• Finding, activating and supporting institutions, associations even individuals with the same goals in Czech Republic

Main activities of ROMEA:

• Propagation and popularization activity, publishing of prints (magazines), spreading of information through electronic media (internet, television, radio), holding exhibitions and other actions
• Educating actions (lectures, seminars, short courses, schooling)
• Informational activity, finding and collecting information about Romani
• Cooperation with authorities of state administration and self-administration, helping to improving coexistence of majority society and Romani
• Cooperation with Romani organizations in Czech Republic even abroad and trying to be involved in international non-governmental structures dealing with Romani problems.
